Dragon Oil (Turkmenistan) Limited (‘DOTL’) is a wholly-owned subsidiary within the group of companies owned by Dragon Oil plc. DOTL currently operates two offshore oil and gas fields, Dzheitun (or “LAM”) and Dzhygalybeg (or “Zhdanov”), forming part of the Cheleken Contract Area in the Caspian Sea, offshore Turkmenistan. Operations are conducted in the Cheleken Contract Area in accordance with the provisions of a Production Sharing Agreement, which has been concluded with a state body forming part of the Government of Turkmenistan.

The Dragon Oil group’s operational focus is the development of the Cheleken Contract Area and, with this in mind, DOTL is formalising a strategy to undertake an integrated infrastructure redevelopment project for this area. This will include the construction and installation of multiple well head platforms and all related infill lines and a subsea trunk line. It will also require the upgrading of an onshore processing facility and other related infrastructure. The plan is expected to be implemented during the years 2007-2009 and will be valued in the region of US$250 million.
