Drillmec Top Drives stories of success
Drillmec is proud to announce that even during the current challenging period, it was able to secure several top drive orders. Fifteen (15) new units, nearly covering the whole product range of Drillmec’s hydraulic and electric top drives, will be operating in Saudi Arabia, Russia, Italy, Ukraine, Poland and Belarus.
Electric TD
Six (06) ETD-250 units, the smallest electric top drive of Drillmec’s product line, are being implemented between Russia and Poland on Drillmec made mechanical and hydraulic drilling rigs.
One (01) new ETD-500 was supplied to another satisfied customer who already owns and operates two units installed on two Drillmec 2000 hp land rigs in Saudi Arabia.
One (01) ETD-350 and one (01) ETD-750 electric top drives were part of upgrades and modernization packages for 1500 hp and 3000 hp Drillmec rigs. The ETD-750 has started to successfully operate in Ukraine while the ETD-350, has just been delivered following the FAT.
The installation process for Drillmec electric top drives is quick and simple, after a short survey and a minor anchoring modification on the hot mast when necessary.
Hydraulic TD
In addition to the electric top drives, five (05) additional HTD-250 hydraulic top drive units have been ordered and delivered to Ukraine and Belarus. The HTD-250 series’ extremely compact and versatile design makes it suitable for an easy integration into existing rigs by adopting minor modifications. In addition, the HTD-250’s size and build quality contribute to reducing downtime and maintenance costs. As a matter of fact, these top drives have been easily mounted on several different kinds of masts in Russia, USA, China and Romania, Poland, Germany and Mozambique ranging from 160 to 250 tons capacity.
