  • Rosneft and Tecnoclima S.p.A. Agree on the Supply of Climatic Equipment for Drilling Rigs

    Rosneft and Tecnoclima S.p.A. entered into a Cooperation Agreement on the supply, modernization and maintenance of heating and ventilation systems for drilling rigs during a visit of the Italian delegation to Russia. The document was signed by Rosneft Chief Executive Officer Igor Sechin and Tecnoclima Chief Executive Officer Giulio Vescovi in the presence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni.

    The document provides for a pilot project to manufacture, supply and install heating systems for the Company’s drilling rigs. The heating systems will be tested in the winter period of 2017-2018 and, if necessary, in 2018-2019.

    The parties also agreed to set up a working group to define the specifications of the heat generators and the timing for the delivery of equipment to the Rosneft fields.

    Commenting on the agreement Rosneft Chief Executive Officer Igor Sechin said: “We will develop cooperation with one of the world leaders in climatic equipment for the oil and gas sector. Rosneft operates oilfields in extreme weather conditions north of the Polar Circle, and partnership with Tecnoclima can potentially facilitate confortable working conditions for our Company’s employees.”
