TMG Worldwide is proud to announce the official launch of the 1st UOR, Unconventional Oil Russia Technology Conference. Taking place on the 14th May 2014 in Moscow, the UOR will become Russia’s leading forum on technology adoption and implementation for the development of unconventional, tight and shale oil plays.
The event will focus on the drilling and fracturing technologies that will be needed to unlock this vast regional resource. The audience will be comprised of the region’s leading operators, department heads, field, well and technology managers and specialists involved in unconventional field developments, plus regional and global leading experts in advanced drilling and fracturing technologies showcasing and highlighting their knowledge and worldwide experience.
Russia has some of the world’s largest unconventional oil reserves, and the single largest shale oil formation in Siberia’s Bazhenov, so the recent changing of the mineral extraction tax by the Russian Government will allow these areas to be developed in the nearest future. The UOR will ensure everyone is up to date with the technologies that will be required for successful and full scale production.
