Last year, 2 auctions were held in Kazakhstan for 74 subsoil plots. Chairman of the Geology Committee of the Ministry of Railways of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Akbarov announced this at a briefing in the Central Communications Service, a Kazinform correspondent reports.
— Last year, 2 auctions were held for 74 subsoil plots, as a result of which the signature bonus amounted to about 3.5 billion tenge. Until June 30 of this year, an auction will be held for 23 returned fields, and 83 reserve fields are planned to be auctioned, Erlan Akbarov said.
The speaker added that the auctions will be held with the establishment of reciprocal obligations to launch production of products not below the average limit in the country, and to contribute to the social development of the regions.
It was also noted that the digitalization of geological information will ensure the openness of all geological information and the digital format of business processes of subsoil users with the implementation of the one-stop-shop principle for potential and current investors.
Since last year, the information platform “MINERALS.GOV.KZ” has been put into commercial operation.
— Currently, the platform is filled with 56 thousand geological reports. At the same time, the Committee has already begun filling it with primary geological data, that is, data from field journals, well reports, geophysical data, and other field information,” explained Erlan Akbarov.
In conclusion, he also said that auctions for exploration and production have been automated on the website e-qazyna.kz. At the same time, this year it is planned to digitize 12 government services in the field of geology and subsoil use, including licenses for the extraction of mineral resources, GIN, individual personal income, permission to transfer subsoil use rights, and others. It is planned that 100% of functions for public services will be digitized and automated.
