Gazpromneft–Orenburg will also teach students of specialized colleges there.
Gazpromneft–Orenburg has opened a new training center for practicing practical skills in 12 oil and gas specialties. The new site will be used to improve the skills of the company’s employees and train students of specialized regional colleges. The Devon News Agency learned about this from the company‘s message.
In the center there is a building with a computer lab and stands for practical development of technologies used in Gazprom Neft fields.
The developed training programs will be useful for plant operators, machinists, repairmen, electric and gas welders, chemical analysis technicians, pipeliners and other oil and gas specialties.
Internships for students of the regional Oil and Gas Exploration college have already begun at the training center. Gazpromneft–Orenburg systematically cooperates with the secondary school within the framework of the League of Colleges corporate program. The program was created to improve the quality of educational programs, develop best practices and implement joint projects.
In the near future, we plan to train students at Orenburg State College. In addition, there will be guided tours for schoolchildren. High school students will be able to get to know more about the professions in demand in oil production.
“The new Gazpromneft–Orenburg training center will become a good training ground for the entire oil and gas industry in the region,“ said Sergey Fedorov, CEO of the company, “It provides an opportunity to practice practical skills in all major professions in the sector.“
“In order for students to have a complete understanding of all work processes, it is extremely important to reinforce knowledge with practical skills,“ said Natalia SHUTOVA, Director of the Orenburg Oil and Gas Exploration College. “All the equipment in the training center is operational.“
“The guys can not only examine it in detail, but also perform simple operations with their own hands,“ she added. — This is a productive training format in which students immerse themselves more in the profession. By the time they graduate, they clearly understand what they have to work with.“
