A Unique Core Exhibition Will Be Held In The Rosneft Pavilion At The Russia Forum
The Rosneft pavilion at VDNKh will host an exhibition of core samples collected in all regions of the Company’s presence. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see rare rock samples dating back more than 550 million years, as well as ammonites and artifacts found during drilling.
The core research center, which is located in the Tyumen Corporate Scientific Institute, is the largest in Russia. It contains 175 linear kilometers of core from all over the country, from the Volga and Ural to Sakhalin. By studying the core, oilmen receive all the information about oil and gas deposits even at very great depths.
As part of Russian Science Week, Company specialists continue a series of scientific and educational lectures. On Sunday, scientists from the Tyumen Scientific Institute will consider examples of cross-technologies that came to the oil industry from other industries and were transformed to suit the tasks of oil workers.
In another presentation, the Institute’s specialists will talk about the full cycle of oil and gas production from geological exploration and drilling to full-scale production, transportation and processing.
Employees of the RN-Dragmet subsidiary will tell visitors about the role of catalysts in fuel production and the important role of Rosneft in the field of import substitution of catalyst products for all of Russia.
