Adamant Ventures Announces That Ewen Ainsworth And Meb Somani Have Joined Its Investment Team Based In London
Adamant Ventures is delighted to announce that Ewen Ainsworth and Meb Somani have joined its investment team.
Ewen Ainsworth
Ewen Ainsworth formerly served as the Chief Financial Officer for Gulf Keystone Petroleum from January 2008 through to June 2014 and was a key member of the management team responsible for commercialising Gulf Keystone’s multi-billion barrel onshore oil discoveries in Kurdistan. During Ewen’s tenure, Gulf Keystone’s transitioned from the London Alternative Investment Market (AIM) to the Main Market alongside raising over $1 Billion in private and public finance. Ewen has over 26 years’ experience in finance roles within the oil & gas industry and has held senior finance positions within a number of oil & gas companies including Europa Oil & Gas, where he also served as CFO, Conoco, Murco Petroleum, Texaco and CIECO exploration & Production. Ewen is responsible for investment structuring and commercialisation.
Meb Somani
Meb Somani served as Managing Director and Global Head of Oil and Gas Principal Investment at Barclays Natural Resource Investments (BNRI) until March 2014. Meb has over 20 years’ oil and gas experience and has held senior executive investment roles within Harrison Lovegrove and Actis, where he served as Head of Oil & Gas. Meb was responsible for coordinating the investment of Barclays’ billion dollar oil & gas fund for over 5 years and has previously advised clients on acquisitions and divestments valued at several billion dollars in Africa, Asia and Latin America. Meb has served as an Executive of Royal Dutch Shell and Texaco within the exploration, and gas and power business units respectively. Meb joins Adamant’s investment committee.
