ADNOC Began to Use the Artificial intelligence AIQ Robowell on the shelf
The National Oil Company Abu-Dabi Adnoc announced the deployment of Robowell, an innovative solution of artificial intelligence AIQ for autonomous control of wells in its operations at the offshore NASR field. This is the world’s first offshore deployment of Robowell.
Robowell uses the AI cloud algorithms for autonomous operation of wells that are self -building in accordance with changing conditions. This increases the safe operation of the well, increases efficiency, reduces the need for trips and physical intervention and, thus, minimizes emissions, the ADNOC report said.
Located 130 kilometers north-west of Abu Dhabi, the NASR deposit is a completely digital offshore field that uses a set of technological solutions to maximize production and minimize emissions. Robowell was deployed in the first 10 wells on NASR, and the further deployment of the AI solution is scheduled for more than 300 wells on offshore and ground operations of Adnoc this year.
Robowell was developed by AIQ and the center of advanced experience of Adnoc Thamama, and was first deployed in 2023 at the NEB ground field, the first smart field of Adnoc, where it has already proved its ability to optimize the gas lift consumption to 30% and an increase in operating efficiency to 5%.
