  • Alliance Oil Company: Operational update for 2012

    In 2012, Alliance Oil Company’s total upstream volumes increased by 10% to 19.7mbbl (53,900 bopd) from 17.9 mbbl (49,000 bopd) in 2011. The preliminaryrefining volumes in 2012 increased by 13% to 29.3 mbbl (80,100 bopd) from 26.9 mbbl (73,650 bopd). Preliminary crude oil and oil product sales amounted to 19.3 mbbl and 29.9 mbbl respectively in 2012 compared to 17.5 mbbl and 26.9 mbbl in 2011.

    Upstream

    The average daily oil production in the Timano-Pechora region amounted to 22,825 barrels in 2012 compared to 19,665 barrels in 2011. Oil production in the Volga-Urals region and Kazakhstan amounted to 22,282 bopd in 2012 compared to 21,265 bopd in 2011. Oil production in the Tomsk region amounted to 8,781 bopd in 2012 compared to 8,054 bopd in 2011. In 2012, 98 new wells were drilled. In 2012, the average daily production at the Kolvinskoye field amounted to 12,996 barrels with a total of 4.8 mbbl produced for the year and 11,877 bopd with a total of 0.37 mbbl produced in December.

    Downstream

    In the downstream segment, the refinery capacity utilization was record high in 2012 due to strong demand for oil products both domestically and internationally. The refining capacity increased to 90,000 bopd in 2012. Retail and export volumes increased compared to the previous year.

    Upstream and downstream production data for January 2013 will be disclosed on February 11, 2013 and monthly thereafter. Fourth quarter and full year 2012 financial results will be disclosed on February 21, 2013.
