American ExxonMobil Wants Another Oil Field in Guyana
The American corporation ExxonMobil has submitted an application to the Guyanese authorities for an environmental permit for the development of the Hammerhead field, located on the shelf. This asset could become ExxonMobil’s seventh oil project in Guyana. Bloomberg writes about this.
It is expected that production at Hammerhead could reach 180 thousand barrels per day already in 5 years. It will help ExxonMobil increase black gold production in Guyana to 1.5 million barrels per day.
Let us remind you that ExxonMobil has been operating in Guyana since 2019, confidently developing oil production in the country.
It was previously reported that the joint venture of Exxon, Hess and CNOOC in Guyana, developing the Stabroek field, in 2023 exceeded the profitability of the American manufacturing corporation Nvidia, and the latter, by the way, recently overtook Microsoft in capitalization.
