Bashneft in NAO Increased Production to 2 Million Tons per Year

This was achieved through the introduction of gas piston units and new horizontal drilling technologies.

Bashneft-Polyus plans to drill 5 more production wells in 2023. To increase their efficiency, four gas piston units with a substation were additionally launched. The units operate on associated petroleum gas, Nao-24 reports.

In total, 46 such units are operating at the company’s fields in the Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The level of beneficial use of APG has been brought up to the standard established by environmental legislation – 95%.

Associated gas is also used to operate the water-gas stimulation system. It allows increasing the level of useful APG utilization and achieving the design oil recovery factor (ORF) in the Arctic. Since the beginning of the development of the deposits. R. Trebs and A. Titov produced almost 2 billion cubic meters of associated gas.
