Bashneft Replenished Oil Reserves by 330% in 2020
ANK Bashneft (part of NK Rosneft) in 2020, due to geological exploration, new acquisitions and revaluation of reserves of operating fields, increased oil reserves in the amount of about 43 million tons of AB1C1 category. Reserves replacement was 330%.
The systematic work of Bashneft to increase the resource base is carried out within the framework of the Rosneft-2022 strategy aimed at 100% replenishment of liquid hydrocarbon production by increasing reserves.
In 2020, Bashneft specialists discovered 53 new productive deposits and a new Bakalinskoye field in the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra. By drilling prospecting and appraisal, exploration and production wells, Bashneft and deepening in 2020 increased its AB1C1 oil reserves by 18.5 million tons.
Also in 2020, Bashneft received licenses for the development of four fields: Mytayakhinskoye and Shishkyuganskoye in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Gerasimovskoye and Mishidinskoye in the Republic of Bashkortostan.
For three fields in Bashkortostan, addenda to licenses to expand the boundaries were received in order to obtain the right to develop reserves.
In addition, a revaluation of reserves was carried out at the Tuimazinskoye, Chetyrmanskoye, Kuzbaevskoye and other fields.
