  • Belarusian Oil Workers Produced a Record 1.87 Million Tons of Oil in 2023

    The Belorusneft company noted that 201 thousand tons of oil were produced from wells drilled last year.

    The Belorusneft company produced a record 1.87 million tons of oil in 2023. The BelTA agency reported this with reference to company data.

    The company noted that 201 thousand tons of oil were produced from wells drilled in 2023, which is an unprecedented high result.

    At the end of July 2023, General Director of Belorusneft Alexander Lyakhov announced that the company plans to produce at least 1.85 million tons of oil by the end of the year. In 2022, 1.81 million tons of oil were produced in Belarus, which is almost 75 thousand tons higher than the figure achieved a year earlier.

    In addition to working on the territory of the republic, Belorusneft carries out geological exploration work abroad. The company is under EU sanctions.
