Belarusian Oil Workers Set a New Record for Rock Drilling
In March of this year, the team of the Svetlogorsk Drilling Directorate drilled 23,159 m of rock. This is almost 2 thousand m more than the previous record figure set in September 2023 – 21,438 m. The SUBR emphasized that this is the result of the coordinated work of specialists from various separate divisions of the Belorusneft company and the central office.
It is noteworthy that the new achievement dates back to the anniversary of the creation of the unit. Today the Svetlogorsk drilling department of the Belorusneft company is 58 years old. The team specializes in oil drilling, maintenance and repair of drilling equipment, and provides services for the disposal of salt-saturated sludge.
Over the past years, specialists have drilled more than 7 million m of rock in Belarus and Western Siberia, and 2,186 wells have been completed. For 2024, it is planned to add another 224.1 thousand m to this indicator, and complete the drilling of 69 wells.
The production association “Belorusneft” was created in 1966. The company searches, explores and develops oil fields, drills wells, produces oil and associated petroleum gas in Belarus, and works in the oil sector of other countries.
