  • Belarusian Oilmen Set A New Record For Well Drilling

    The new high-speed drilling record became another achievement of oilmen. It was installed today, March 9, at the Rechitsa field, where well No. 445 was completed.

    The process of drilling a new facility took only 35.6 days.

    “This is an absolute record for the duration of development of the so-called difficult oil reserves. The actual depth of the well is 4040 m. This speed was achieved thanks to the well-coordinated work of the teams of the Svetlogorsk Drilling Operations Department, the Grouting Department, the Department for Enhanced Oil Recovery and Well Repair under the leadership of specialists from the Center for Geological Sciences. technological support for drilling wells at NGDU Rechitsaneft,” Belorusneft emphasized.

    The company recalled that the previous record was recorded on June 14, 2023 at the same Rechitsa area, when well No. 420 (4000 m) was drilled in 39.9 days. In that case, the target object was also unconventional reservoir rocks.

    The production association “Belorusneft” was created in 1966. The company searches, explores and develops oil fields, drills wells, produces oil and associated petroleum gas in Belarus, and works in the oil sector of other countries.
