  • Belorusneft Plans to Upgrade Oil Production Equipment With the Help of China

The state-owned enterprise Belorusneft plans to upgrade oil production equipment through purchases from Chinese manufacturers.
This is stated in a message on the website of the departmental publication Vestnik Belneftekhim.

As part of the modernization program, the management of Belorusneft chose China as an alternative partner due to the difficult situation in Western markets and the sanctions policy of a number of states.
It is noted that the company intends to find reliable and professional Chinese manufacturers capable of working in the difficult mining and geological conditions of the Pripyat trough.

The company can purchase from Chinese manufacturers:

    • heavy-duty drilling rigs in half-echelon version,
    • mobile drilling rigs for sidetracking and well workover,
    • telemetry equipment,
    • rotary controlled systems,
    • grouting equipment,
    • equipment for gas hydrailyc fracturing and coiled tubing.

All this is necessary for the qualitative implementation of a promising program for the development and development of hard-to-recover oil reserves.

According to Belorusneft’s plans, in 2023 oil production in the country will be increased to 1.85 million tons compared to 1.81 million tons in 2022.
The bulk of proven oil reserves in the region are hard-to-recover.
