Belorusneft’s Northern Asset Receives New Gas Inflow at Gubkinskoye Field

A division of Belorusneft in the Russian North — the oil company Yangpur — has received a new gas inflow at the Gubkinskoye field. This was reported by BelTA, citing Belorusneft.

The event was recorded at well No. 561.

“As a result of testing the PK8 formation of the Pokur suite, a commercial gas inflow was obtained with a rate of more than 200 thousand cubic meters per day,” Belorusneft said.

The discovery of a productive zone by Yangpur expands the potential for further development of the asset and opens new opportunities for involving previously underexplored intervals in development.

“Further steps are currently being considered to clarify the geological structure of the site and assess the resource potential of the identified gas-bearing zone,” the company added.

The oil company Yangpur has represented Belorusneft in the Russian oil and gas production market since 2013. Its main activities include oil, gas, and gas condensate production, primary oil refining, and the supply of hydrocarbons and refined products to enterprises in Russia and other countries.
