According to the “Farmand Prize” jury, Det norske oljeselskap has Norway’s best website and the second best web-based annual report. In addition, the company’s printed annual report was one of the five prize candidates in its class.

The Farmand Prize is Norway’s most prestigious award for the best annual reports and websites.

The most resourceful and leading Norwegian companies participate in the class for listed companies. Traditionally, these companies also have the very best websites and publish the best annual reports.

Torgeir AndaDet norske’s VP Communication, Torgeir Anda, is very proud and honoured with all the Farmand awards:

We receive a gold prize and a silver prize and are recognised as one of the top five finalists in all classes in which we participate. We must be proud of this achievement. Our communications department is small and our performance is notable, even when compared with other large companies. This requires a lot of work, but the communications team has truly delivered fantastic products. In our industry, there are not that many opportunities to have our work independently assessed. The Farmand Prize is clearly the most important award. Communication is all about being seen – and being understood. It appears that we have succeeded in this.

The detnor.no website was awarded the gold prize in the class for best website for listed companies, whereas the AF Gruppen and DOF ASA received the silver and bronze prizes, respectively. Nominees in this class were Kværner ASA and Hexagon Composites ASA. We have participated in this class once previously, in 2010, when we received a bronze prize.

In its introduction, the jury describes Det norske’s website as follows: «detnor.no is a useful website with very solid content, a good structure, clear website navigation menus and very good user-friendliness. The jury also commends the pleasing visual expression and the functional design as well as good adaptations».

The web-based annual report received the silver prize this year, as well as last year. This time, Posten Norge was awarded the gold prize, and Moelven Industrier received the bronze prize. Nominees were The Norwegian Defence Research Establishment (“Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt”) and Cermaq.

Our printed annual report was one of the top five nominees. The winner of the gold prize in this class was Statoil, with the AF Gruppen as the runner-up and Marine Harvest in third place.
