Between Sozh And Dnieper. “Belorusneft” Conducts 3D Survey, Unique For Belarus
As Piotr Povzhik emphasized, the beginning of the year was very successful for Belarusian oil workers.
“This year, within the Khoiniki region, as a result of drilling wells at the Beskopylnovskoye field, we discovered a new block where we received an influx of oil,” he recalled.
The Deputy General Director added: today the company’s specialists are also working in the direction of Loev – Rechitsa – Gomel region.
“This is seismic work. We carry out 3D surveying, unique for Belarus. It is unique in several areas. Firstly, it covers a large territory – more than 1.2 thousand sq. km. Secondly, this is a floodplain area between two water arteries – Sozh and Dnieper. These are the most difficult surface conditions for work. And of course we see here certain prospects for the subsequent construction of exploration and production wells,” he said.
Speaking about the results of geological exploration both in the Republic of Belarus and in the Russian Federation, Petr Povzhik emphasized: “We have obtained good indicators that allow us to more confidently predict the volume of oil production and the development of the mineral resource base in both Belarus and the Russian Federation.”
He also named the main components of achieving high performance. This is a whole complex of meticulous work, emphasized Piotr Povzhik. Firstly, certain measures have been taken at the legislative level that make it possible to allocate land for the construction of wells in a shorter period of time. Accordingly, the construction process itself is speeding up. “The second direction is technological development: new equipment, new solutions, new telesystems. The third is an increase in knowledge through modern software, through a detailed study of the geochemical parameters of hydrocarbons and formations, geomechanical parameters. This also includes a set of elements that made it possible to bring The Pripyat trough is modern innovative technologies from different countries. All this contributed to the breakthrough,” the deputy general director of the company is convinced.
“From the birthplace of an idea to the place of its implementation – 50 km. If an idea arose at the BelNIPIneft laboratory (in Gomel – BELTA note), then it will be implemented at a distance of 50 km (at a field, for example, in the Rechitsa region. – Note . BELTA). We do not have any barriers – administrative, transport, etc. – to the implementation of ideas,” summed up Petr Povzhik.
The production association “Belorusneft” was created in 1966. The company searches, explores and develops oil fields, drills wells, produces oil and associated petroleum gas in Belarus, and works in the oil sector of other countries.
