  • BP Has Started Drilling a Second Production Well at the Azerbaijan’s ACG

British BP, the technical operator of the AzeriChiragGuneshli (ACG) offshore project in Azerbaijan, has begun drilling a second well at the field from the Azeri Central East offshore platform.

Oil began to be pumped from the first well in April, now the production volume is 8 thousand barrels, Interfax writes. By 2025, only two wells will be launched, which will increase oil production to 24 thousand barrels. A total of 48 wells are expected to be drilled from the platform. Active drilling and additional infrastructure are expected to bring daily oil production to a maximum of 100 thousand barrels, and gas production to 10 thousand cubic meters.
