  • Brazil Resumes Production at Atlanta Field

Brazilian oil and gas company Enauta has completed scheduled maintenance on its floating production, storage and offloading vessel FPSO Petrojarl I, which is currently operating in the Atlanta field, located in the Santos Basin offshore Brazil.

As early as May 2023, Enauta commenced preventive maintenance on the floating platform FPSO Petrojarl I. Production at the Atlanta field was expected to resume in mid-June with the resumption of production in wells 7-ATL-4HB-RJS (4HB) and 7-ATL-5H- RJS (5H). At the same time, drilling of wells 7-ATL-7HA-RJS (7HA) and 7-ATL-6H-RJS (6H), which will be connected to the Atlanta FPSO in Phase 1 of the final Atlanta system (DS ), continued.

In an announcement published on Thursday, June 22, 2023, Enauta confirmed that the Atlanta field has resumed production following the successful completion of preventive maintenance at the FPSO Petrojarl I platform. Production from the wells will gradually resume, according to the company. The FPSO Petrojarl I early production system volume was designed to collect data and validate the potential of the Atlanta reservoir, allowing the development and optimization of Phases I and II of the FPSO Atlanta scheduled for mid-2024.

Having confirmed the high potential for well and reservoir productivity, during this period, Enauta intends to prioritize the smooth operation and life extension of the subsea equipment that has been temporarily installed near the Petrojarl I FPSO.

Last year, Enauta purchased FPSO OSX-2 for a complete well development system in the Atlanta field. This FPSO, known as FPSO Atlanta, is expected to replace FPSO Petrojarl I, and will be fully operational by mid-2024, initially with six wells, with the number of wells reaching ten in 2029.

The Atlanta field is operated by Enauta Energia. The field is located in the BS-4 block in the Santos basin at a depth of 1,500 meters, and has been in production since 2018.
