Breakthrough Geophysical Equipment Developed in Russia
With the help of “SKAT” it will be possible to explore wells at extreme temperatures.
In the near future, the arsenal of TNG-Group will be replenished with a new geophysical instrument SKAT38/1-150/60. It was made by specialists from the pilot production of TNG-Universal. The Devon news agency learned about this from the materials of the press service of the oil service company.
This device is designed for geophysical research of wells while monitoring the development of oil and gas fields. It is used to assess the technical condition of production wells equipped with tubing (tubing) with an internal diameter of at least 50 mm.
Previous modifications could operate at temperatures not exceeding 120 degrees Celsius. After modernization, studies can be carried out in wells at 150 degrees Celsius.
SKAT38\1-150 has been successfully tested in the TNG-Group metrological center. The accuracy of measurements, the resistance of the device to extreme conditions, as well as its safety in operation were checked.
“TNG-Universal is constantly developing geophysical equipment, improving its instruments and technologies,” said Kamil Ganeev, head of the pilot production at TNG-Universal. “The specialists of the pilot production are faced with the task of increasing the maximum allowable working pressure of the equipment from 60 to 80 MPa.”
“This is a significant breakthrough in the development of geophysical equipment,” explained Rustem Akbashev, head of the field geophysics department at TNG-Group. existing contracts in Uzbekistan”.
In May, the Devon news agency reported that TNG-Group presented in Uzbekistan technologies for field seismic surveys and equipment for geophysical surveys in wells. In particular, the Geochain X HP borehole seismic system makes it possible to carry out seismic exploration not only on land, but also at sea. It can withstand pressure up to 1700 atmospheres and temperatures up to +195 degrees Celsius for twelve hours.
