  • Commercial Gas Production in Azerbaijan Will Reach Peak in 2025 – Jabbarov

Commercial gas production in Azerbaijan will reach a peak of 36 billion cubic meters in 2025, Economy Minister Mikail Jabbarov said.

“As for commercial gas, its production in 2025 will reach its peak and amount to 36 billion cubic meters,” Jabbarov said on Thursday when the parliamentary committee on economic policy, industry and entrepreneurship discussed the draft state budget for 2024.

In 2022, commercial gas production in Azerbaijan amounted to 34 billion 958.3 million cubic meters, in January-September 2023 – 26 billion 868.8 million cubic meters.

Jabbarov emphasized that in the medium term there will be a decline in oil production at the main field – Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG).

“As a result, the decline in non-oil and gas GDP in 2024 is projected to be 1.7%, and in 2025-2026 – 1.8% per year,” the minister added.
