  • Contract Signed for Russian Gas Supplies to Uzbekistan

    A working meeting of Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, with Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, took place today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2023.

    The meeting addressed current and prospective issues related to cooperation in the gas sector.

    The parties signed the Contract for Russian gas supplies to the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Roadmap for preparing the gas transmission system of Uzbekistan for the reception and transmission of Russian pipeline gas.

    The exports of Russian natural gas to Uzbekistan across Kazakhstan are planned to start in the fourth quarter of 2023.
