  • Division of TAGRAS Holding Breaks Its Own Record for Hydraulic Fracturing Volume with 310 Tons of Proppant Injected

At Well No. 10000 of the Yuzhno-Balykskoye Field (Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug), owned by RN-Yuganskneftegaz, the TAGRAS-RS division of TAGRAS Holding carried out a high-volume hydraulic fracturing (HF) operation with the injection of 310 tons of proppant.

A key factor in the success of the operation was the use of an innovative technologycold-water HF, developed and implemented by the company in May 2025. The method allows the use of water at a temperature of approximately +15°C without preheating, significantly reducing preparation time and cutting costs.

Gulnaz Valiullina, HF Development Project Manager at TAGRAS-RS, stated:

“The technology eliminates additional expenses and accelerates the process by omitting fluid heating. This provides a significant economic benefit for both the service company and the client.”

The technology was first tested by the division at fields in the Volga-Ural region during 2021–2022 and demonstrated its effectiveness.

    Technological highlights of the operation:

    • Reinforced pumping unit with a capacity of 2,500 HHP

    • Innovative fluid composition for formation protection

    • Real-time digital monitoring of the process

By the end of 2025, the company plans to conduct five more similar operations at Rosneft’s fields.
