Division of TAGRAS Holding Reduces the Well Construction Cycle with the Help of a New Drill Bit
The Sistema-Service Division of TAGRAS Holding has developed and manufactured a PDC bit with a collar and a sub for connecting casing pipes. The equipment is used for drilling on casing pipes. Today it is the most advanced drilling method.
Specialists on the basis of a subsidiary of the division LLC “Perekryvatel” designed an original system for conducting a complex of pilot works on a casing string with a diameter of 245 mm, followed by cementing in an interval of 50-350m. As part of the design tests, the penetration was 307 meters. ROP reached 31.83 m/h against the planned 20 m/h.
The introduction of a new type of equipment will reduce the well construction cycle in the conductor section by 18 hours compared to the standard technology. This is especially true when passing through unstable rocks prone to landslides.
