“STZ is one of TMK’s key enterprises. The new birth of the plant is associated with the name of Mikhail Vasilyevich Zuev, under whose leadership the plant increased its production capacity, put into operation modern equipment and became one of the most modern plants in Europe. This work has formed a technological backlog for STZ for many years to come, has allowed us to produce innovative pipe solutions that are resistant to extreme operating conditions and allow our partners to comply with high environmental standards. Today, the plant continues to introduce the best available technologies, master the production of new products, and is a pilot site for testing advanced digital solutions. I am sure that the appointment of Dmitry Vsevolodovich Markov, a highly professional engineer, Honorary Metallurgist,
STZ has been part of TMK since 2002. The production capacity of the plant is up to 1 million tons of steel and about 900 thousand tons of seamless and electric-welded pipes per year. STZ’s electric steelmaking facility provides for the plant’s own needs and supplies continuously cast billets to the Sinar Pipe Plant (SinTZ), which is part of TMK. The company produces high-tech seamless oil and gas pipes (OCTG) for hydrocarbon production, as well as products for pipelines for various purposes, engineering, construction and utilities. The plant is one of the largest taxpayers in the Sverdlovsk region, is engaged in corporate charity, ensures the operation of the key social infrastructure of the city of Polevskoy, and develops industrial tourism.
