Drilling Industry Gathers at the 1st RDCR in Moscow

The 1st Russian Drilling Contractors Roundtable was held last week at the Swissotel Krasnye Holmy in Moscow and was an overwhelming success for everyone involved. The event saw over 190 delegates attend in total, with over 115 of those being made up of delegations from 12 of Russia’s leading drilling contractors. They met with the RDCR’s Gold, Silver & Bronze sponsoring companies to discuss business, technology and best practices that will ultimately enhance Russia’s drilling sector.

Doug Robson, Group Sales Director at TMG Worldwide commented “The initial feedback that we have received has been overwhelmingly positive. However, our ambitions for the RDCR are for it to be the premier drilling event for the Russian oil and gas sector. For this to happen we need to focus on areas where we are able to improve. By collaborating with our drilling contractor partners, sponsors and delegates we can ensure that next year, and beyond, the RDCR continues to be the place where technology is transferred, knowledge is shared and business is done.”

The RDCR 2014 will be held slightly earlier in the year, with the date to be announced shortly. The event will run over two days to meet demand, focussing on a wider technology area that will see Power Generation, Solids Control and QHSE added to this year’s main areas of Rigs & Equipment, Drill Pipe, Hardbanding and Drill bits. The sponsors that supported the event in its first year have first refusal on sponsorship opportunities at the RDCR 2014 and we expect high demand for key positions. “The demand for both sponsorship slots and delegate passes far exceeded our initial expectations for the RDCR 2013”, continued Doug Robson, “With the RDCR 2014 running an expanded program over two days we are fully expecting to sell out of key sponsorship and speaking slots so I would urge people to register their interest early to avoid disappointment”.
