  • Drillmec’s Russian Technology Conference

    Drillmec S.p.A. – a worldwide leader in the production of drilling equipment – held a technical conference «Drillmec On-shore/Off-shore Technological Innovation and Services: Ahead and HoD» at the Baltschug Kempinski Hotel in Moscow on the 28th of October 2014.

    The conference was attended by more than 60 representatives from different oil and drilling companies throughout Russia and CIS, such as Rosneft, Lukoil, Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft, Gazprom podzemremont Orenburg, Gazflot, Zarubezneft, Integra-Drilling, Siberian Service Company, Salym Petroleum Development, Targin, ERIELL, Belorusneft, Petromir, CAToil, Investgeoservice and others.

    During his opening speech, Mr Stefano Angeli, Vice President for Sales, expressed his appreciation to the participants for their interest in Drillmec and its products, saying ‘This is the third time we have arranged such conference in Russia and we do appreciate the increased interest in our Company on the part of our Russian customers’.

    Area Manager Mr. Diego Ferrandes introduced the delegates to Drillmec’s background and its role in the Russian/CIS market for drilling equipment, followed by a demonstration of the entire line of Drillmec products. Diego noted that “over 70 Drillmec drilling rigs are successfully operating in the Russian Federation and CIS countries. However, we are not going to rest on what we already have achieved. Russian drilling companies already have a great appreciation for the quality of our equipment, and we expect to see our market share in Russian grow in the future.”

    Drillmec technical experts Mr. Francesco Colаjanni and Mr. Angelo Calderoni presented several Drillmec innovations, such as our HoD system which combines continuous circulation, high resolution flow rate monitoring and an anti-friction device, and the AHEAD system, an acronym for Advanced Hydraulic Electrical Automated Driller. The application of these technologies will allows companies to achieve the highest standards of HSE and of course enhanced drilling performance.

    Yuri Parnivoda, General Director of the Drillmec representative office in Russia (LLC ‘Drillmec R’), also made a presentation on Drillmec’s offshore projects. ‘Drillmec is currently delivering two offshore projects: LSP-1 and LSP-2 at the Filanovsky oilfield. The drilling package for LSP-1 has already been supplied, whereas the drilling equipment for LSP-2 will be delivered in 2015’- noted Mr. Parnivoda in his speech.

     

    At the end of the conference, Vice President Mr. Stefano Angeli underlined that the event had been highly efficient. “The conference gave us a perfect opportunity to present our drilling innovations and services to leading experts of oil and drilling companies in Russia and CIS, and we are looking forward to holding such conferences in Russia on a regular basis’.
