Euro Auctions: Demand High for Used Equipment Despite Covid

With the Covid-19 virus pandemic affecting the whole of Spain and Portugal, last year Euro Auctions Zaragoza hosted a full programme of ‘on-line’ auctions culminating in the last sale of the year in November 2020 which attracted buyers from over 50 countries in Europe, Middle East and Asia.

With over 750 lots for sale, a hammer total of €2.1 million, with €1.6 million in online sales, the latest sale from Euro Auctions attracted buyers from across Europe, the Middle East and Asia. As in previous sales in Zaragoza, interest also came from as far away as Australia, USA and central Africa.

Spain, however, was the most active buying nation, bidding on and winning approximately 50% of all sales. Portugal, UK, Belgium and the Netherlands, were also strong in bidding, and were buying well.

Despite the climate and the restrictions on transportation across borders due to Covid, 800+ lots of good quality machinery and construction equipment were presented for sale at this auction by over 85 separate vendors from over 11 European countries. With most of the equipment for sale coming from the home market in the Iberian Peninsula, from 64 sellers from Spain and Portugal. The remaining consignors at this sale came from Morocco, France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands and the UK.

This Euro Auctions sale in Zaragoza included an inventory of good multiples of excavators (6t and 20t), mini excavators, road rollers, rough terrain fork lifts, dumpers, telehandlers, back hoe loaders, wheeled loaders, as well as a compliment of good breakers and hand tools.
