  • Explosion on Offshore Oil Platform in Mexico killed Two People

    Two people were killed and another went missing as a result of a fire on the platform of the Mexican oil and gas corporation Pemex in the Gulf of Mexico, follows from the company’s message.

    “At Pemex, safety is a priority. According to preliminary data, no Pemex employees were reported missing as a result of the morning fire on the Nohoch-A platform. Unfortunately, two people died and one was missing from the company that worked on the site,” the company said on Twitter.

    Earlier, the company’s press service reported that six people were injured in a fire on the platforms of the Mexican oil and gas corporation Pemex in the Gulf of Mexico. Prior to this, Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said that as a result of the incident on the offshore platform “three-four” people were missing. Pemex did not confirm this information, but said that out of 328 employees, 321 were evacuated from the platforms.

    On Friday, Tribuna Campeche reported that an explosion and a massive fire started on an offshore platform of the oil and gas corporation Pemex offshore Campeche in the Gulf of Mexico.
