ExxonMobil: In Memory of Glenn Waller
It is with great sadness we inform that December 16, ExxonMobil Russia Inc. President and Exxon Neftegas Ltd. Chairman Glenn Waller passed away. He was at his home in Sydney, Australia, surrounded by his beloved family.
Glenn Waller has studied and worked in Russia for over 25 years. A former Australian diplomat with postings in Mexico City and Moscow, his career in Russia has spanned government service, The Petroleum Advisory Forum industry association, mining and oil and gas sectors. He has worked for ExxonMobil for over ten years in Russia and, as the company Lead Country Manager and President of ExxonMobil Russia Inc., a position he has held since 2011.
During his long-term career, through his leadership and dedication, Glenn greatly contributed to ExxonMobil business in Russia, including successful implementation of the Sakhalin-1 Project, one of the largest foreign investment in Russia, for which he served as the Chairman of Exxon Neftegas Limited. Glenn has played a key role in negotiating a Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Rosneft.
His passing is a tremendous loss for ExxonMobil and for the entire Russia team, both in Moscow and Sakhalin. Glenn was a true gentleman and consummate professional. His commitment and dedication to our Company was unequivocal, the depth of his relationships within the Russian Federation unequaled and the respect of his colleagues enduring. Glenn was dedicated to the very end which indicates how much his work in Russia, his role in ExxonMobil, and his commitment to our partnerships mattered to him.
Glenn was a true friend, a trusted advisor, a father and a husband and will be sorely missed by all. We keep our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time with Glenn’s wife Agnes and children Julien and Catherine.
Condolences may be addressed via this email and will be shared with Glenn’s family.
As details of his memorial service become available, we will update this page.
