  • From Mobile Data Centers to Digital Twins of Fields: Rosatom Presented a Portfolio of Digital Products for Import Substitution at the Fuel and Energy Complex

ROSATOM presented a portfolio of industrial software and hardware solutions for enterprises of the fuel and energy complex, which includes software packages for mathematical modeling of physical processes, management of capital construction projects, a proposal for transferring workstations to domestic software. new solutions in the field of digital infrastructure. Opportunities for attracting government funding to support projects for the implementation of Russian IT solutions were also presented.

Rosatom’s proposal was presented within the framework of the 10th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum at the session “Digital Solutions of Rosatom State Corporation for Ensuring Technological Sovereignty of Fuel and Energy Complex Enterprises”, which continued the series of the Corporation’s initiatives for the development of high-tech area “New Production Technologies”.

Rosatom digital products for the fuel and energy complex are intended for structural divisions and subsidiaries of PJSC Gazprom, companies in the fuel and energy complex, oil and gas service companies, as well as educational institutions of the industry.

The products have been tested at the enterprises of the nuclear industry and are currently being actively verified at the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex, and the proximity of digital technological approaches of the nuclear and oil and gas industries will contribute to their effective implementation and adaptation to the tasks of Russian oil and gas.

“An example of combining Rosatom’s digital solutions with applied and engineering expertise of oil and gas companies is the implementation of the VOLNA software and computing complex (created by RFNC VNIITF (Rosatom) in cooperation with PJSC Gazprom) at Gazprom’s gas transmission companies,” said the head of the laboratory Anuchin Mikhail.

Vera Gurova , General Director of Rusatom – Digital Solutions (Rosatom), noted that Rosatom’s digital proposal for the fuel and energy complex is relevant against the background of existing restrictions on access to foreign software and hardware: Fuel and energy complex. It should be noted the challenges in the development of hard-to-recover oil and gas reserves and the difficulties in the development of scientific and technical departments. Rosatom’s digital solutions will enable domestic oil and gas enterprises to smoothly solve production problems. ”

This includes considering the possibility of using Rosatom digital products for modeling flows in pipes and wells, managing the construction of facilities at oil and gas fields, providing them with mobile data centers, etc. in the field of digital twins of products, the possibility of forming an industrial standard of digital twins for the fuel and energy complex on its basis is being discussed, ”explained Zhidkov Sergey , chief expert of the“ digital engineering ”project of TVEL JSC .

Chief Researcher – Advisor to the Directorate of FSUE RFNC VNIIEF (Rosatom) Vladimir Zhigalov presented his expertise in the field of modeling non-stationary fluid flows in wells, reservoirs and pipelines. According to him, domestic solutions have a number of advantages compared to foreign counterparts, including comparable and greater accuracy, openness of solutions for joint development and adaptation to specific industrial needs, as well as, as a rule, greater physicality of solutions, which makes it possible to carry out more efficient calculations with the possibility of a detailed audit of the results.

The leading engineer of Rusatom – Digital Solutions Dmitry Murashov spoke about examples of verification and areas of analysis in which the Logos software package for engineering modeling is in demand, in particular, for solving problems of aero-hydrodynamics, dynamic and static strength.

During the session, the new opportunities of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom were presented, related to the implementation of the roadmap for the high-tech area “Quantum Computing”. The National Quantum Laboratory (NKL), created with the support of Rosatom, is already implementing a series of projects with fuel and energy companies to develop centers of competence in quantum computing. During the event, the expert of the Russian Quantum Center (member of the National Quantum Laboratory) Anton Guglya gave examples of the use of quantum computing to solve problems in the oil and gas industry, mentioning, among other things, various optimization problems, problems of modeling new materials and complex physical processes, as well as problems of artificial intelligence.

Dmitry Gulyaev, Director for Infrastructure Solutions at Tsifrum (Rosatom), presented infrastructure solutions that are relevant for the fuel and energy complex – mobile and container data centers, which can be deployed in a short time in hard-to-reach areas for analysis and decision-making on the ground, and also offered domestic switches “T-COM”, recently launched on the market by the State Corporation “Rosatom”.
