  • Gas Production in Azerbaijan in 2024 Will Exceed 49 Billion Cubic Meters

The Azerbaijani government forecasts gas production in the country in 2024 at 49 billion 63.6 million cubic meters, a government source told Interfax-Azerbaijan.

Actual data on the country’s gas production for 2023 have not yet been published. However, Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov reported last October that gas production in Azerbaijan in 2023 is projected at 48.7 billion cubic meters.

Thus, the growth in gas production in 2024 compared to 2023 may be 0.7%.

“The production of commercial gas in Azerbaijan for 2024 is projected at 36 billion 779.6 million cubic meters,” the source noted.

According to the State Statistics Committee, over the 11 months of 2023, 44 billion 221.1 million cubic meters of gas were produced in Azerbaijan (an increase of 4.1%). At the same time, commercial gas production amounted to 33 billion 146.8 million cubic meters (an increase of 4.3%).

In 2022, gas production in Azerbaijan amounted to 46 billion 743.3 million cubic meters (an increase of 6.6%). At the same time, commercial gas production amounted to 34 billion 958.3 million cubic meters (an increase of 7.3%).
