  • Gas Production in Russia in 2023 Decreased Compared to Last Year

    Gas production in Russia this year may decrease by 9.2% compared to last year, to 610 billion cubic meters, and next year it will grow by 2.5%, to 625 billion cubic meters, follows from the review of the International Energy Agency (IEA ) on the gas market.

    The indicator in 2022, according to the agency, amounted to 672 billion cubic meters, while in 2021 – 762 billion.

    Production in Eurasia (including production in Russia) this year is estimated at the IEA at 792 billion cubic meters, Europe – 220 billion, in the Middle East – 726 billion, Africa – 253 billion, Asia-Pacific region – 670 billion, Central and South America – 145 billion, North America – 1250 billion.

    The total production in the world is estimated at 4,056 billion cubic meters, which is 1% lower than a year earlier. The indicator in 2024 can grow by 2%, up to 4137 billion cubic meters.
