  • Gazprom Expects Increased Investment in Hydrocarbon Production in the World

    Gazprom predicts an increase in the volume of investments in the exploration and production of hydrocarbons in the world by the end of the year, and for the first time since 2019 it will exceed $500 billion, said the deputy head of the department – the head of the company’s department, Kiril Polous.

    “It is expected that by the end of 2023, the volume of investments in exploration and production of oil and gas will increase, and for the first time since 2019 will exceed $0.5 trillion,” he said during the Russian Gas international forum.

    According to Polous’s presentation, investment in hydrocarbon exploration and production is projected to reach $508 billion this year. In 2022 it was 474 billion, in 2019 – 555 billion.
