Gazprom Neft and Shell Close a Deal to Develop a Joint Project to Develop the Salym Group of Fields
The Salym Petroleum Development portfolio of assets (a joint venture between Gazprom Neft and Shell) includes a new license for the right to geological exploration, exploration and production of traditional hydrocarbon reserves at the Salymsky-2 site in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area.
According to the agreement of partners, during the transaction Salym Petroleum Development * (SPD) acquired from Gazprom Neft a 100% stake in the authorized capital of Salymsky-2 LLC, which owns a license for the same-named block. SPD will become the operator of the new site, which borders the West Salym, Vadelyp and Upper Salym fields, which are already being developed by the joint venture.
Currently, the Salymsky-2 is carrying out a geological exploration program. Based on the results of the SAP, it will determine an asset development plan.
