  • Gazprom Neft and the Government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug to Create a Modern Logistics Park in Yamal

Gazprom Neft’s subsidiary, Gazpromneft-Snabzhenie, and the Government of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug are joining forces in the development of the Obskoy Berth industrial and logistics park located in the town of Labytnangi. The Agreement of Intent for cooperation at the Tyumen Oil and Gas Forum was signed by Dmitry Potapov, General Director of Gazpromneft-Procurement, and Alexander Kalinin, First Deputy Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, in the presence of Alexander Dyukov, Chairman of the Gazprom Neft Management Board, and Dmitry Artyukhov, Governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

The regional government and Gazpromneft-Snabzhenie will develop a development plan for the Obskiy berth until 2030. Among the key joint tasks is the formation of a comprehensive program to attract new partners, potential residents and users of the infrastructure of the logistics park, as well as the search for opportunities to achieve a freight traffic volume of up to 500 thousand tons in the next five years.

In addition, Gazpromneft-Snabzhenie will take part in the technical development of the logistics park, as well as in the modernization of existing sites and the creation of new infrastructure facilities on the territory of the Obskiy berth. The enterprise will design and build storage and cargo handling areas for material and technical resources, relying on the experience of reengineering Gazprom Neft’s warehouse sites and creating its own intelligent logistics spaces.

“Labytnangi is one of the key transport hubs and transshipment points of the largest oil and gas projects in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. The creation of a modern transport and logistics platform will help increase the traffic and cargo turnover of the Obskiy berth, its capacity, as well as increase the volume and quality of logistics, maintenance and operational services. Thanks to the implementation of the project, Labytnangi will be able to become a large supply center for the enterprises of the fuel and energy complex operating in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug ”.

“With the shift of production centers to the north, a reliable logistics scheme is becoming important for their development. The port of Labytnangi is one of its key elements, where water, rail and road routes converge. The implementation of the Obskoy Berth project will allow not only to modernize the port infrastructure, but also to organize the production of building materials necessary for the development and services for the fuel and energy complex in close proximity to the transport infrastructure. This will give us over 3.5 billion rubles of investment and at least 800 new jobs. “
