Gazprom Neft and the Omsk Region are Expanding Cooperation to Develop the Region
At the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Gazprom Neft and the Omsk Region signed an agreement on implementing humanitarian and environmental projects and improving the region’s investment climate.
In Omsk, Gazprom Neft is building a plant for the production of high-tech raw materials for metallurgy, is implementing a national project to create the first modern production of oil refining catalysts in Russia, as well as projects to develop green energy and introduce environmental technologies. The company is expanding the capacity of its own solar power plant, completing the construction of the Biosfera biological water treatment complex, and continuing the modernization of the refinery, including as part of the Clean Air federal project.
Cooperation will be expanded in the social sphere: the company will continue the large-scale Native Towns investment program aimed at supporting local initiatives of residents, creating a comfortable urban environment, and developing educational programs in Omsk colleges and universities.
Special attention in the agreement is paid to the issues of professional and mass sports. With the support of the company, the most modern ice arena in Russia was built in Omsk, the Avangard hockey club and academy are operating, and playgrounds for children’s hockey are being created. The development of the unique Omsk martial arts school “Storm” and the construction of street sports infrastructure will continue.
