  • Gazprom Neft Creates New Technology Centers to Train Logistics Innovations

Gazprom Neft will train employees and customers in logistics innovations using new technology centers, the first of which opened on the basis of the Terminal * intelligent logistics space in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra.

At the center of new technologies are presented key solutions implemented in the company’s digital warehouse complexes. Using immersive technologies – augmented, virtual and mixed reality – employees of Gazprom Neft enterprises will be trained to work with robotic equipment, as well as study the rules and standards of industrial safety. Representatives of external market participants, for whom the subsidiary of the company – Gazpromneft-Snabzhenie – designs logistics facilities and implements advanced developments on them, will also be able to take the training course.

A number of flagship logistics solutions have been implemented at the Terminal’s smart warehouse. In particular, there is a navigation system in the augmented reality mode, which speeds up the search for necessary goods, and a pilot project for inventory using drones is being implemented. Security at facilities is monitored using machine vision: cameras track information about the location of warehouse workers, thereby limiting their movement in hazardous areas and monitoring the use of overalls and personal protective equipment.

In the future, centers of new technologies, in which specialists will study modern solutions in the field of warehouse logistics using VR and AR technologies, are planned to be created not only at the company’s assets, but also at partner facilities.

“Based on Russian and foreign experience, as we develop and implement new technologies, we will create new“ points of experience ”and relevant educational programs on the basis of the Terminal. It is here that we will be able to accumulate our knowledge and experience in the implementation of advanced developments in the field of logistics. We are also ready to offer our expertise to clients and partners. “
