  • Gazprom Neft: Develops New Areas of Cooperation with Contractors

Gazprom Neft discussed the prospects for joint development in the field of industrial safety and the formation of new elements of partnership with contractors that provide the company with services in the field of exploration and production. The company is creating a unified ecosystem that will ensure maximum integration of work processes with contractors, including through digital technologies.

One of the most important stages of integration will be a single virtual platform that will allow combining the best tools and practices into a digital space, working out in more detail promising projects and a format for interaction with participants in related processes.

During the annual partnership conference, which this year brought together more than 180 participants, the company discussed with contractors the areas of joint work in the context of the energy transition. Gazprom Neft intends to reduce the carbon footprint of production by 30% within 10 years. It is planned to achieve this goal by synchronizing the efforts of partners in the implementation of green energy projects and searching for new environmental solutions that require joint discussion.

Summing up the results of the joint work, the conference participants highly appreciated the efforts that Gazprom Neft is making to maintain the stability of the oilfield services market under the constraints associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company’s production growth drivers in the coming years will be the implementation of projects to develop the Neocomian-Jurassic deposits of the Kharasaveyskoye and Bavanenkovskoye fields of PJSC Gazprom in the north of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the oil rims of the Chayandinskoye, Pestsovoye and En-Yakhinskoye fields, as well as the development of the Tazovskoye field. In addition, the development of the oilfield services market will be facilitated by solving the strategic task of involving the reserves of the Bazhenov and Palyanovsk formations, as well as the Achimov strata, in production.

“In order for our projects to be as effective as possible, it is important for us and our partners to understand each other’s plans, build strategic interaction and check the key development parameters. Including, on the issues of energy transition and decarbonization of production.
An important part of the formation of a common ecosystem is the mutual integration of digital processes and data, as well as the development of joint solutions to overcome technological challenges and increase efficiency in the development of hard-to-recover reserves.
Together with our partners, we managed to survive the difficult period of a pandemic and a decline in consumption, we helped each other to maintain business stability and ensure the safety of our employees. Next year we plan to increase our production program, in particular, in Noyabrsk and Khantos, the volume of production drilling may increase by about 50% compared to the current year. We are well aware of how we will develop in the next five to seven years, during this period our production level may grow 1.5 times to about 150 million tons of hydrocarbons per year. Taking into account the challenges facing the company, it is important for us to develop interaction mechanisms and form a high-tech ecosystem in dialogue with partners. “
