The center will take over the management of field geophysical surveys of Gazprom Neft subsidiaries. The new division will manage seismic, electrical and gravity magnetic exploration at the company’s assets. The opening of the industry competence center is aimed both at overcoming the challenges facing Gazprom Neft and at commercializing technological solutions, expertise and experience of the company, including the green seismic technology and geophysical surveys using drones.

The establishment of the Center will help Gazprom Neft optimize field research costs. The effect will be achieved through a unified approach to work in all regions of the company’s operations and the replication of innovative technologies for hydrocarbon prospecting, including the Digital Twin of seismic exploration.

The Exploration Geophysics Center is being created on the basis of Gazpromneft-Geo, the operator of Gazprom Neft’s exploration projects. In the season 2021-2022. using the new management model, field geophysical surveys will be carried out on sites with an area of ​​over 2 thousand square meters. km in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra, Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and the Tomsk Region.
