  • Gazprom Neft has Completed Industry Tests of the First Russian Set of Equipment for Hydraulic Fracturing

Gazprom Neft, together with its partners, has successfully completed unified industry tests of the first domestic fleet for hydraulic fracturing (HF), the main method of enhancing oil recovery, without which the development of most fields is impossible.

Before testing the domestic hydraulic fracturing fleet in field conditions, the Institute of Oil and Gas Technological Initiatives (INTI) developed a unified industry testing methodology. The project was implemented in several stages at Gazprom Neft fields in Western Siberia. Industry testing with the participation of the largest oil and gas companies was organized by the “Unified Test Operator” – a national expert platform in the field of testing new Russian equipment.

Field tests confirmed the performance characteristics of domestic equipment and its compliance with industry standards. The first Russian hydraulic fracturing fleet received an INTI certificate of readiness for mass production and industrial use.
