Gazprom Neft is Investing Over 3 Billion Rubles in the Technological Complex of its Industrial Innovation Center in St. Petersburg
Gazprom Neft will create a complex of laboratories and pilot installations for testing new industrial technologies on the territory of the special economic zone of St. Petersburg. The technological infrastructure of Gazprom Neft will be located in the innovation center under construction in the special economic zone (Novoorlovskaya site). The planned volume of the company’s investments in the complex will exceed 3 billion rubles until 2023.
The complex of laboratories and pilot units will become the main platform for testing and scaling up new technologies developed by the Gazprom Neft Technological Center for Industrial Innovation. The future infrastructure will provide 150 new jobs for specialists in the search, development and implementation of innovative technologies and products in the field of continuous manufacturing.
Anatoly Cherner, Deputy General Director of Gazprom Neft for Logistics, Refining and Sales:
“A significant advantage of St. Petersburg has always been its highly qualified personnel potential, which, together with a favorable investment climate, allowed at one time to form the strongest pharmaceutical cluster based today on the sites of the special economic zone“ St. Petersburg ”. During the period of SEZ operation, pharmaceutical residents have invested more than 61 billion rubles in projects, received a total revenue of 163 billion rubles and sent more than 25 billion rubles in tax payments, including about 9.2 billion rubles to the budget of St. Petersburg. We expect that Gazprom Neft’s acquisition of the SEZ resident status will stimulate the attraction of a number of related companies and suppliers to the SEZ and, as a result, will become a driver for the creation of a new industrial cluster in St. Petersburg. ”
Tamara Rondaleva, General Director of JSC SEZ Saint Petersburg:
“During the entire 15-year history of the SEZ project, infrastructure facilities created for residents have evolved depending on their needs. These are the office and laboratory complex at the Neudorf site and the office and production Technology Transfer Center at the Novoorlovskaya site. Now, having identified the need for finished production areas, it is this functional purpose of the areas that will prevail within the CI. It will be a new experience for us. Gazprom Neft will become a key partner for this facility. ”
