Gazprom Neft: Named the Most Transparent Russian Company in 2020
Gazprom Neft was recognized as the most transparent Russian company in 2020 for the high quality of corporate reporting. The company has become a laureate of the annual award “For active corporate policy in the field of information disclosure.” The award was established by the news agencies Interfax and AK&M, which are accredited by the Bank of Russia to disclose corporate information. The jury also includes representatives of the Moscow Exchange, the Association of Independent Directors, the Russian IR-Association ARFI.
When choosing the winner of the award, the jury took into account the completeness and timeliness of disclosure by companies of reports, corporate events, information on corporate governance, synchronization of disclosure for Russian and foreign investors, proactivity and awareness of information policy. In addition, interactive formats, informativeness of news messages, attention to environmental issues, social responsibility and corporate governance ( ESG ) were taken into account .
In addition, the jury noted the organization of the Gazprom Neft website for investors and shareholders with the largest archive depth among the nominees and appreciated the company’s active support for the “single window of disclosure” project.
Since 2007, Gazprom Neft has been publishing its Sustainable Development Report annually since 2007, informing the company about its adherence to the principles of the Code of Corporate Governance and Environmental and Social Responsibility. In 2020, Gazprom Neft joined the UN’s global sustainable development initiative and became one of the leaders in the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project) international climate rating.
