  • Gazprom Neft Supports Russian Technology Developers for the Oil and Gas Industry

Gazprom Neft, as part of the second stream of the INDUSTRIX accelerator, selected the most promising start-ups in the field of exploration and production for testing at the company’s fields. Through the INDUSTRIX program, Gazprom Neft supports small and medium-sized industrial technology entrepreneurs and finds innovative solutions for hydrocarbon production.

The second stream of the INDUSTRIX technology accelerator started in the fall of 2022 and collected 536 applications. Based on the results of a multi-stage expertise, Gazprom Neft specialists selected 36 of the most promising technologies. Of these, potential customers from the company’s business units will identify projects for testing. Each of the solutions is planned to be finalized and the potential for its further replication will be assessed.
The INDUSTRIX corporate program actively participates in the development of the ideas of Russian entrepreneurs. From Gazprom Neft experts, the startup team receives not only feedback about the product, but also the necessary support for the proper structuring of their projects. In particular, some teams learn how to correctly form a business value proposition, register legal entities and take other actions necessary to bring the idea to life. In order to interact with the external environment, Gazprom Neft trains specialists from among its employees, who become the “link” between the potential business customer and the project. An employee of the company, together with the startup team, forms a roadmap, monitors the implementation of tasks and product development within Gazprom Neft, helps to identify possible problems and risks, and also prepares well for all stages of the accelerator.

Based on the results of the first stream of the accelerator, several projects were tested and integrated into the company’s business processes. For example, the technology of one of the graduates of the accelerator makes it possible to calculate the reserves of “difficult” oil with high accuracy. The product has been implemented at the assets of Gazprom Neft in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
