Gazprom Neft tested the first domestic software for drilling automation

Gazprom Neft has successfully tested the first Russian software, which makes it possible to accelerate well construction by 15%. The company’s specialists, together with partners from Uralmash NGO Holding, participated in the development of the program, which was tested at the Slavneft-Megionneftegaz field .

The new software product is integrated into the existing rig control system and allows specialists to select the optimal drilling mode. This makes it possible to build deeper wells faster, even in difficult conditions. In Russia, this is the first such experience of creating its own software to improve the efficiency of drilling operations.

Gazprom Neft and Uralmash NGO Holding joined forces in 2019, when an agreement on strategic cooperation was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to create high-tech equipment and software.
