Gazprom Neft to Support Developments by Russian Students for the Oil and Gas Industry
Gazprom Neft will support talented Russian students in developing their ideas to the level of ready-made technological solutions and products. At the Technological Entrepreneurship Forum in Innopolis, the company’s experts selected the most promising student initiatives for the oil and gas industry. The authors of the best ideas will refine their solutions within the framework of the INDUSTRIX corporate accelerator to the level of technological products and will be able to find customers among industrial enterprises.
Applications to the INDUSTRIX accelerator were submitted by students and young scientists from 38 leading Russian universities. After evaluating applications, 120 startups in the field of exploration, production and refining of oil, alternative energy, digitalization of processes, design and construction of facilities, and industrial safety passed to the accelerator.
At the next stage of the accelerator, young scientists will take part in a six-month Gazprom Neft program aimed at developing competencies in the creation and commercialization of technologies. The finalists will be determined at the beginning of 2024, the main criterion will be the finalization of the idea to the prototype stage. With the support of mentors from Gazprom Neft, students will have the opportunity to finalize their projects and bring them to the market for industrial replication.
“Gazprom Neft is actively working with students across the country to support gifted young scientists. Together with the largest Russian universities, we have formed an extensive ecosystem, there are social and educational programs, specialized master’s programs and internships in the company. The accelerator for projects at the idea level is another step in interaction with students and young developers, aimed at developing entrepreneurial thinking and focusing on the needs of not only science, but also business,” Alexander Dyukov, CEO of Gazprom Neft.
