Gazprom Subsidiary Consolidates Assets in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug
Salym Petroleum Development (SPD) Oil Company from the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft, has begun a reorganization process. It will merge with the firm Salym-2 from Khanty-Mansiysk.
“The company notifies about the reorganization in the form of a merger with Salym-2 LLC. Creditors’ claims may be submitted no later than thirty days from the date of publication of the notice,” reads the company’s announcement posted on the Fedresource.
The oil company Salym Petroleum Development is owned by Gazprom Neft through its subsidiaries. Previously, the company was a joint venture with Shell, but after the foreign partner’s withdrawal, the stake was transferred to the Russian side.
Salym-2 LLC is a subsidiary of SPD. The company was registered in 2019 in Khanty-Mansiysk. It holds two active licenses for exploration, production, and geological study of subsurface resources at the Novo-Salym oil field in the Nefteyugansk district of Yugra. The field is located 100 kilometers southeast of Khanty-Mansiysk.
The agency URA.RU sent a request for comment to Salym Petroleum Development LLC. As of the time of publication, no response had been received.
Previously, URA.RU reported that Salym Petroleum Development would test technologies for producing hard-to-recover oil in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. An innovative testing site is planned at the Verkhnesalym field.
